Minimum Qualification

As on the date of application a condiate must posses the following qualifications for admission :

• a) For full time General Courses: Candidate must have completed 16 years of age & passed(10+2) or its equivalent examination from a recognised Board.
• b) For full time Post-Graduate Courses: Candidate must have completed 20 years of age and possess Degree in any discipline from a recognised University.
• C) For part time Certificate Courses: Candidate must have completed 21 years of age and should possess a Degree besides having relevant experience in Garment/Textile Industry. or Candidate with 10+2 qualification and relevant experience in garment industry.

The course covers technical aspects of garment design and offers link with the surrounding fashion industry.

Fee Refund

The Fee is non-adjustable, non-transferable and non-refundable. Fee once paid will not be refunded except in cases where it is proposed not to start a particular course during an academic year for which the fee has been paid Before paying the fee, the condidates and guardians are advised to take prior note of their future transfers, marriages or any other commitments owing to which they may like to opt for refund of fee as any such request will not be entertained afterwards.

Discipline

IIFT maintains strict discipline during working hours and following requirements are enforced:

• 1. It is mandatory to maintain minimum 75% attendance for appearing in final Examinations . Students are advised not to miss/bunk theory /practical classes.
• 2. Misconduct in the shape of disobendience with the Authorities/Faculty members will not be tolerated.

The non-observation of proper disobedience with the Authorities/Faculty members will not be tolerated.

Fashion Shows/Exhibition

IIFT promotes its designers through various fashion shows. it has organised more than 1000 fashion shows during the last 28 years. Career exhibition, designers exhibition are organised for school/colleges throughout India on request and for student benefit.

Research and Development

This division of IIFT is totally dedicated to research and devlopment in the Fashion ,Textile, and Interiors . This division is governed by Mr R.D. Lal, CEO.

Fashion designing

The course covers technical aspects of garment design and offers link with the surrounding fashion industry.

Merchandising Designing

The course is designed for the students who aspire to enter fashion and clothing industry in marketing side.

Textile design

The course covers the theoretical and practical aspects of textile in the light of national and international fabric requirements in fabric textile industry.

Fine Art

The course covers areas of typography, illustrations, logos and symbols, design balance, rhythm, and printing technology.
